RippleCraft's Designer Sheds and Shacks are a unique entry into the smaller building market. Their uses are as plentiful as are the designs available--essentially unlimited. Designer Sheds and Shacks can be either custom designed for the individual, or ordered from a portfolio of pre-designed plans.

Our sheds are unique for several reasons. First of all, they have the look of log. Our designer sheds are made from either our Super Siding Products where the profiles are an exact match to our full-log products, or with the usage of our 2"x8" Ripple Decking product. An exterior wall of our designer shed carries the same look and appeal of our full-log homes. If you like the looks of a log home, you are going to love the beauty of our Designer Sheds and Shacks.

Shed walls made with 3"x8", 4"x10" or 5"x12" Super-Siding will be round outside and flat inside. Sheds made in the 2"x8" decking will be flat on both the inside and out. For cosmetics, we can also mill a small channel in the 2"x8" decking to chink if that is the look that you prefer. But, in the case of our Designer Sheds the beauty is much more than skin deep. Harbored beneath the attractive appearance is a sound joinery system that provides a tight air seal and surprising strength.

By using the Super Siding as the side wall itself, no interior studs are needed. This gives the inside wall a smooth-pine paneled look. After a little sanding and the application of an interior finish, you are good to go. The absence of the stud wall also makes more of your interior space usable.

The ripple interface on a piece of siding is every bit as important as the ripple interface is to the full log. The ripple allows the assembler to drive (and wedge) the siding pieces together. A simple tongue and groove does not allow for this as the pieces simply bounce against one another if forcefully driven. Another obvious advantage is that the ripple siding provides a drip edge--unlike normal tongue and groove products. This tight wood on wood joinery system is further fortified by the jetting of a small bead of the same foam at the corner joints and at the butt joints. This makes the sheds much easier to heat than sheds that leak air at every joint.

RippleCraft's Designer Sheds and Shacks are sold as kits with a pre-milled dovetail corner. The sheds can be custom designed, so that in itself makes these sheds adaptable to any use. Some of the options available are different roof pitches, dormers, window and door packages, front porches and built-in bunks and lofts. They can be placed on any type of foundation, or placed simply on treated skids.
